Theory and Practical activity

Training can be delivered in one of our national centres or can be offered at your workplace *subject to location and number of participants.

One session required for tutor delivery

The course will provide GDC registered dental nurses with an in depth knowledge of dental impression materials and various techniques in order to facilitate patient treatment and increase patient care. You will be provided with underpinning knowledge which will be further developed through practical application during the training session and then continued to develop a record of experience within your work place.

The aim of the course is to provide continued professional development training for registered dental nurses enabling them to competently undertake dental impressions in a clinical environment for a range of activities including whitening trays, study models and mouth guards.

Qualified, GDC registered dental nurse

GDC registered professional competent in impression taking

Theory and practical delivery from a course tutor
Achieve 10 Grade 1 impressions post course
